Feeling Skinny

Shirt:  Target - $6.00, Pants:  Yard Sale - $1.00, Shoes:  Wet Seal - $5.00

As of right now, these are my favorite shoes to wear.  But considering that I change my mind every week doesn't make them too special.  They are super tall, not at all comfortable, but my legs feel skinny when I wear them.  Feeling skinny definitely trumps the uncomfortable.

Standing on my tippy toes

Shirt:  Sears Outlet - FREE, Jeggings:  Walmart - $7.00, Sandals:  B-Day Gift (thx sis)

Does anybody else catch themselves standing on their tippy toes?  I am so use to wearing heels all day that when I'm barefoot or in flats my gut reaction is to stand on my tippy toes.  While I'm doing the dishes, cooking, doing my hair, I catch myself being on the tip of my toes.  Kind of strange.

Christmas in June

I have been procastinating about unpacking all of my Summer clothes, cause let's face it, I have no room in my closet.  While we were getting ready to head up to the lake on Saturday I ripped open one of the bags to see what I could find.  There was stuff in there that I had totally forgotten about!  It was like Christmas in June.

Grandma Betty

Shirt:  Target,  Scarf:  FREE,  Jeans:  Thrifted - $2.49, Boots:  Wet Seal - $5.00
While I was at my Dad's for Father's Day, he wanted to give me some old records that my Grandma and Grandpa had.  The records were full of songs from the 20's and I remember dancing around their house when I was little with my sisters.  My dancing back then involved moving my feet as fast as I could.  Thank god my dancing has improved....I think.

Last night I had a chance to listen to them and I had an overwhelming feeling of grief come over me.  Listening to the music brought so many memories of my Grandma back that it physically hurt.  It has been 9 years since she has passed away but I cried last night like no time has passed.

Her name was Betty.

The Office Quote of the Day

Shirt:  NY&C, Jeans:  Thrifted - $2.99, Boots:  Wet Seal - $5.00

Michael:  You win.  But here's what we are going to do; we are going to designate one of our closets as a hookup zone....Anything goes!

Dwight:  Michael, that's absurd.  What if two couples want to go at the same time?

Michael:  Okay, then we have two closets.  No, no, we're going to have three closets.  One for each base.  No homers. Yes?

Total Blackout

Shirt:  JCPenney - $3.49, Jeans:  Thrifted - $4.00, Boots:  Thrifted - $3.00
Just enjoyed a lunch full of so much laughter that I thought my lunch was going to come back up.  Who ever thought that watching somebody in total darkness try to guess what they were smelling could be so funny.  But I guess when they are really smelling a bare butt it makes it even better.

Nothing makes me feel more confident and sexy than a pair of knee high leopard boots.  Everyone should get a pair.

Ann Taylor, Young or Old?

Shirt:  Thrifted - $1.50, Jeans:  Thrifted - $2.99, Boots:  Thrifted - $3.00

This isn't exactly my style of shirt but it was $1.50 and I liked the flowey detail in the front.  The sealer for me was it was Ann Taylor.  I knew it would be good quality and last quite awhile.  A comparable style shirt on their website is pricing out at $59.99.  Wow, that's a big savings!  Anyway, as I was browsing, I noticed how much I loved all of their shirts.  Ann Taylor in my mind was supposed to be for my Mom, not me.  They are either gearing more toward the younger generation or I like Mom clothes.  Either way, I'm good with it.

Rockin the Bandana

Shirt:  Thrifted - $0.50, Jeans - NY&C, Shoes:  Old Navy - $1.00
This shirt was bought more as a joke between Danny and I but I actually really ended up liking the print.  I mean come on.....where would you find a bandana print shirt in a department store?  You wouldn't!

Food Addict

Shirt:  NY&C, Jeans:  Express, Shoes:  Charlotte Russe - $4.99

Does anybody else constantly think about what they are going to eat next?  Every morning as I eat my breakfast I think about what I'm going to eat for lunch.  As I eat my lunch I think about what I'm going to eat for dinner.  It's a vicious cycle that puts only food on my mind.  I can undeniable say that my only addiction in life is food.  What a great addiction to have.....NOT!

Yoga Smoga

Jacket:  Kohls - Gift, Jeggings:  Walmart - $7.00, Shoes:  Charlotte Russe - Gift

I purchased my very first Yoga DVD on Amazon the other day (along with the huge Zumba box set) and I am on a kick to get exercising.  Gyms do not work for me as they are boring so I wanted to find an exercise routine that works for me and that I enjoy.  As I was purchasing the Zumba set, I decided to get a Yoga beginner DVD.

After doing 30 minutes of it last night and again this morning, I can say that I am officially hooked.  You feel your whole body melting away as it relaxes and the only thing on your mind is your breath in and out, in and out, in and out.  Who knew that just breathing could be so relaxing.

Leo loves his greens

Come on Dad, not this game again.

Just a lick, that's all I want.

Ha, fooled ya! I want it all!

Don't fight it, just give it.

I am at a blank

Shirt:  JCPenney - FREE, Jeans:  Thrifted - $4.00, Boots:  JCPenney

I am at a blank for words this morning.  Food hasn't been ate and mountain dew hasn't been drunk so my brain is not functioning well.  I will write to you what I am looking at right now.....my 'The Office' calendar is what I read first every morning.  Enjoy.

Michael:  All this arguing reminds me of a very funny story.  You see this on my desk?  You know who gave me this?  My girlfriend, Tara, who lives in New York City.

Dwight:  Wait, what girlfriend?

Michael:  I haven't told you about her.

Dwight:  I find that unlikely.  You e-mail me when you get a new zit.

DIY Vest

For this DIY, you will need a yard of fabric, scissors and 5 minutes to spare.

Start off by folding your fabric in half (side to side not top to bottom) and cut the bottom to the length that you would like.

Once you have made your cut, unfold the fabric and lay it out flat.

Now comes the tricky part.....my method for cutting the arm holes was to lay down on the fabric and make a dent on where my shoulders were.  I got up and cut a slit at an angle underneath where my shoulder mark was.  Repeat the same steps for the other arm hole.

Note:  After trying it on I ended up cutting more off the bottom.  So don't worry about your length on the first time, you can always adjust it.

Skirt or Pants?

Shirt:  Target - $6.00, DIY Vest, Belt:  Thrifted - $1.00,  Pants:  ???, Boots:  JCPenney - $15.00
It's hard to tell in this picture but I am actually wearing pants, not a long skirt.  For some reason, everytime I see a long skirt it reminds me of the Duggar family.  I love the show and power to them for wanting to dress modest but I could not live like that.  The best part of my day is getting dressed.  Walking through my closet, imagining outfits in my head.  That is my form of self expression.  Take that away from me and I'm not sure what kind of person I would be.

Candy Cane

Shirt:  Thrifted - $1.49, Jeans:  Walmart - $7.00, Shoes:  Charlotte Russe - Gift

For those of you who know me, know how much I love Christmas time.  I will watch 'White Christmas' year round and listen to Christmas music in July.  So of course I was drawn to this red/white striped shirt.  It reminds me of candy canes!
