'Friends' Quote of the Day

Joey: Ross? You okay?
Ross: They're still, they're still not coming on man and the lotion and the powder have made a paste!
Joey: Really?! Uhh, what color is it?
Ross: What difference does that make?!
Joey: Well, I'm just -- if the paste matches the pants, you can make yourself a pair of paste pants and she won't know the difference!

Baby Blue Jeans

Shirt:  Thrifted - $1.50, Jeans - JCPenney - $4.00, Boots:  F21
Today has been the first, in what seems like forever, that the sun is out and the rain clouds are gone.  We've been in a horrible cycle of rain, rain, rain and more rain.  To celebrate, I decided to wear by new baby blue jeans from JCPenney.  They just fit my mood perfectly today.

First Band Shirt

When your future husband is a musician, you would think I would have more band shirts.  Not so much the case for me.  I just recently purchased my FIRST band shirt (those N'SYNC shirts back in the day don't count).  Pink Floyd definitely wouldn't of been my first choice but when you only shop the clearance section, you can't be too picky.

'Friends' Quote of the Day

Jacket:  Thrifted - $4.00, Shirt:  Target,  Jeggings:  Walmart, Boots:  JCPenney
Ross: Dad’s still telling the story about how you tried to escape from fat camp….
Monica: I wasn't trying to escape!
Ross: Then how did you get caught in the barbed wire?
Monica: I was… helping out a squirrel…
Ross: You were trying to eat it!!!!

DIY Polka Dot Shirt

There is no question that I love polka dots!  The first polka dot shirt I ever purchased was featured on this post.

For this DIY, all you need is a shirt (I got mine at Goodwill for $1.50), fabric paint and a round brush.  I am using the Lumiere 2.25 oz. Fabric Paint in Metallic Bronze from JoAnn's but any fabric paint will do.

Dip the brush in the paint and and pat it once on the paper plate before each print on the shirt. I would get about 2 fully covered dots per dip in paint.  Dot away and let dry overnight.  That's it!

$1.00 Skirt

Sweater:  Old Navy, Skirt:  Thrifted - $1.00, Boots:  JCPenney

My favorite thrift store, Value Village, closed down a couple of months ago and I got this skirt on the day where everything in the store was $1.00.  Everything was very picked over but I was able to snag a couple of skirts and some picture frames.

This skirt is a weird length and would definitely NOT work if it didn't have a large slit up the front.  The only shoes that worked were knee high boots....anything ankle height just did not work as the balance wasn't right.

New Easter Tradition

We started a new Easter tradition of staying Saturday evening with Danny's family in the country. Enjoyed doing some grilling, watching 'Passion of the Christ', deciding after getting woke up through the night that we are both NOT ready for children.  Easter was spent taking a long walk through the woods and realizing in just a couple of weeks everywhere we walked will be filled in with green.  Work a little faster Spring.
