Mediterranean Wrap

One of my favorite sandwiches is called the Mediterranean Wrap from Jasons Deli.  It is a little over 300 calories for the whole sandwich and it is so delicious!  I recreated it last night for dinner and thought I would share.

You will need the following:

Any kind of wrap (I used Flat Out Multi-Grain)
2 slices of Turkey
Red Onion
Tomato
Lettuce
Hummus
Kalamata Olives

Best Nap

Why is it that the best naps are always unexpected?  

You start your afternoon out with plans of measuring windows and finally ordering those roman shades for the bathroom that are so badly needed.  It's a matter of time before our neighbors see us naked. Just saying.

All of a sudden, you are drawn to your bed.  There is no stopping you from laying down and cuddling up.  Right then, you know, this is going to be the best nap ever.  They are so rare, but so worth blowing all your plans for that afternoon.

It is so cold here in the morning that when it is under 20 degrees there is no way I am going outside without a coat to take a picture.  Hopefully, the cold will not last much longer.

Sunny Sunday

Our Sunday afternoon hike consisted of a lot of yelling (at the dogs, not each other), getting a lesson or two from my tree whisperer, gathering some branches for our wedding, and making plans that will affect our future children (crazy to think about!).

All in all, it was a wonderful Sunday afternoon.

Merry Christmas

This story is not to get a 'pat on the back' or a 'job well done', this is a story to inspire you to do a good deed this holiday season.

This Monday at Goodwill, I was approached by a young woman asking for help.  She said she was homeless, jobless and has been wearing the same clothes for days.  She didn't want cash but all she requested is that I buy her a set of clothes.  I happily obliged and told her to go pick out a couple of things.

Let me just say that I am that person to doubt people.  I do not trust strangers.  But when that woman was talking to me, it was obvious she was desperate.  She picked out two pairs of pants and two shirts for a total of $9.00.  I spend more than that in gas just to get to/from work.  $9.00 is nothing to me, but for her it was something.

God always has a plan.  His plan was not only to help someone in need but it was to open my eyes to see how lucky I am.  These past two years have been a hard time in my life and I have definitely given myself a pity party.  Meeting her made me realize my problems are nothing compared to what she has to deal with.

I hope that sometime in the future, everybody gets to experience what I was able too.  Cause I can guarantee you that it will change your life.

Creepin'

Cold weather is here and even though I hate it.....it finally is starting to feel like Christmas.  Christmas just isn't the same with 50 degree weather in December.

Leo has been loving the cold weather also as he has got to sleep inside two nights so far.  Has anyone heard the song 'Creepin' by Eric Church?  That is Leo's new theme song.  Everytime I look out of a window in our house, there he is, just staring back in being a creeper.

Lately, my mind has been somewhere else.  In between Christmas, work and wedding plans, my brain has left the building.  The realization hit me as I tried twice to get into my car at Goodwill only to realize that it wasn't my car! 

If somebody was watching me from inside, they had to of thought I was a crazy person.  Hit the unlock button, try the handle, hit the unlock button, try the handle, start busting up laughing, walk to a different car, get in and drive off.
