I've had to hide this scarf from myself so I stop wearing it. Definitely my new favorite item.
All you need is an old sweater, scissors and sewing machine (or needle and thread).
Start by cutting off the arms and neck of the sweater.
Then, turn the sweater inside out and sew up the sides where the arms use to be. Also, don't forget to take off the tag from the neck.

Created a Monster
Dress: Thrifted - $4.50 |
After finally getting Danny to go on a trip to Goodwill with me, I think I created a monster. He normally refuses to go shopping with me....first, because he hates shopping....second, because he says I wander off and leave him....and third, he hates to spend money. So boy was I surprised when he went through every single item on every single rack! I was begging him to stop so we could leave. That has never happened before, EVER!
P.S. He did buy me this dress on our trip, so I really can't complain.

Pinterest Party Pictures
The Pinterest Party was a lot of fun and I highly recommend throwing one. We had a ton of good food....mini pumpkin bites, buffalo chicken rolls, 'Pasta House' salad, green bean casserole, cajun chicken pasta, homemade salsa, mini chicken pot pies, lasagna soup and chicken alfredo lasagna. All of that food for 7 people!
After eating, we all gathered around the table for our crafts. Artwork, wreaths, coasters, etc. were made while talking and just enjoying each others company. Everybody was very happy with how their crafts turned out, so the party was a success!

Go Dog Go
Our two (dog) kids had a friend over last weekend to play. And boy did they play! One of my favorite books growing up was 'Go Dog Go' by Philip Eastman. As I looked at the pictures that I took, I couldn't help but think of that book.

Pinterest Party
Shirt: Sears Outlet - FREE, Scarf: Gift, Jeans: Thrifted |
Tomorrow I am hosting a Pinterest Party at my house with a couple of girlfriends and I am so excited! How did we survive before Pinterest? I can't even imagine planning my wedding without it. You do have to be careful, you can pin all you want but at some point you have to actually do your pins!
