Black Friday

I got these boots during Black Friday last year.  For those of you who don't know, Black Friday is the biggest shopping day in the United States that takes place the day after Thanksgiving.  Then I started thinking, what am I going to do this year?  I won't be able to go!  I can't spend any money on new clothing or shoes.  My whole day is ruined just imagining that I will miss out on the crazy people, the long lines and the women and children in pajamas(because you know it does take way too long to get dressed in the morning).  Ok, maybe I won't miss it that much.

August 22, 2012 is a day that I will never forget.  It was the day that my one true love proposed to me.

 

 

Vacation

I'm getting to the point at work where I need a vacation. Like a week long, book filled, no phone, sit on a beach for hours kind of vacation.  Danny and I go back and forth about if it's worth the money.  Me being on the YES! side wants to go somewhere as soon as possible.  What is the point of working for a living if you can't take a week and enjoy life?

Jean and Jean

I have never been a fan of jean on jean until this year.  Tastes can change right?  One thing that will never change for me is a brown belt with black boots or vice versa.  That just won't ever fly with me.

Cook:  Your chain.  It looks like a chandelier.

Not quite a dress

This was supposed to be worn as a dress today until I bent down to get my boots and Woah! I was wearing it as a dress no more.  So I threw on a pair of my favorite jeggings underneath.  I can't put into words my love for jeggings.....they stretch but are also tight, they make your legs look skinny, they can be wore with any kind of shoe, they are my soul mate.

Plain Jane

My plain t-shirt collection has quadrupled since Danny and I got together four years ago.  I got sick of him saying, "Why do you have to always dress up?  Why can't you just throw on a t-shirt?"  So, that's what I do now....throw on a t-shirt.

It's a miracle that I am actually wearing makeup today.  For those who know me, know how I never wear makeup.  In fact, it is such a rare occurence that people notice it at work and feel the need to mention it to me.  Apparently, I must look like crap every other day!  Luckily my man loves me more when I go all natural and that is just fine with me.

Wish List for August

Forget the skirt

I had picked out an outfit last night that consisted of a skirt, blue blouse, with boots.  When I went to put it on today, I just wasn't feeling it.  Today I wanted to be comfortable.  And sitting in a cold office for 8 hours is not the perfect environment for a skirt.  My legs would have been begging for a blanket by 9 a.m. and sadly I do keep a spare blanket at work for those extra cold days (or a nap in the conference room!).
